Dr. Jennifer Deyo (pronounced Day-Oh), a Worth native, joined Mill Creek Animal Clinic in 2007.
She began working in the veterinary field as a teenager at Crestwood Animal Hospital, first as an assistant, and then later as a technician. It was here that she developed her love for Veterinary Medicine. Although her initial direction in college was toward the family business of teaching, she eventually realized that she belonged with the animals and headed toward the University of Minnesota (Go Gophers!) for Veterinary School.
After Veterinary school, she joined Lincolnway Animal Hospital, and now with us. We are very excited to have her. A large part of practicing medicine is communication, i.e. teaching the humans that bring our patients to us. Dr. Deyo’s teaching background has prepared her for this very important part of medicine. Combined with her genuine compassion for animals AND people, Dr. Deyo is just what we want at Mill Creek Animal Clinic.
Dr. Deyo comes from a big family which she enjoys spending time with when she is not attending to all of her rescues : Banshee (shep/rott mix), Gabriel (rott/boxer mix), Cooper (French Bulldog), Zacheus (DLH), and Sage (Asian Pond Turtle). And don’t forget Eenie, Meenie, Minie, and Moe (4 hooded rats).
When she isn’t tied up with this gang, she enjoys reading, hiking, hanging with her family, and playing piano.
